At almost 7 in the morning...

I'm pleased to say that all down, ZERO to go...I am officially on holiday...! And officially unemployed... *Laughs*




I have officially declared that the third instalments of both "Pirates of the Carribean - At World's End" (More like, "At Wits' End"... *Laughs*) and "Shrek 3" were boring, horrid (plot, acting, cast, pacing...blah blah blah...) and totally NOT exciting to watch! =(




Zouk was packed to the brim earlier on in the day...
Bumped into hoards of people outside Zouk...
From primary school, to secondary school mates, even college mates and clubbing mates...It can be officially said that virtually everyone was out painting the town red prior to the Vesak holiday...





I almost got knocked down by a BMW 5 series... F**K-ing driver! (#$%^$^#%^!!!) Didn't you know that its basic driving skills that one should never, ever drive close to road kurbs?!? (I almost scratched your darling Beemer! I should have! I was only 2cm away from it anyways...)




I didnt imagine cellphone receptions to be that bad outside Zouk so early into the night! (It was only 11-ish?!?) Likewise, Ive never ever seen such a massive human-cum-traffic jam even during those Lunar New Year bazars along Chinatown on Lunar New Year's eve...




I thank K.H for allowing me to keep my stuff in K.H's car... Else, I couldn't imagine carrying my stuff into Zouk... =)




The area outside Zouk was a outdoor sauna area...Maybe its just the humid weather...! For the first time, I was sweating like an oinkie even prior to clubbing...! =(




And darrrlinggg Zouk, despite your greatness, I think you're seriously over-hyped and very well marketed...I gave you up and returned to the arms of my first love..."Our Playground"! =)




I thank George, da man/manager of "Our Playground" for letting us cut the insanely crazzyy queue at "Our Playground" earlier on in the day and for letting DarLing JodY and moi in for free when other girls had to pay to cut the queue/join the "express queue"...




I broke a nail at "Our Playground"...! =(




I'm happy that my fave bartender, Kelvin's still working at "Our Playground", despite the fact that the "mai tais" were horrendously and dangerously high in terms of alcoholic content...He keeps saying cos we're alcoholics...! It was 6 cheries and plenty of lychees today! Woot! :)




Im happy that Don poured 2 shots each into DarLing JodY and Moi's Vodka Lime glasses and served us shots of something weakly alcoholic that tasted like Carrot and tomato juice...I liked the taste though! :P




We finally found Dominic hiding in another corner of "Our Playground" at the end of the night!


{FYI, Don and Dominic aren't brothers, they're just chummy bartenders that we often chat to when we're bored at "Our Playground"! :) }




An accquaintance that I know kept sending me sms-es at "Our Playground", (after moi bumping into him...) saying that he thinks he likes me...*Gosh*

Boy, not interested...!




After almost 2 months, I have finally quenched my thirst on my fave lychee martini! =)




I have finally conquered the dance floors of "Our Playground" once again!

{But WTH's wrong with the crowd recently? Its so emo and young...! In a bad way!}




I think I have burnt off all the calories for the entire day's meals...Drinks included...! :)





I reached home, with the smell of ciggie smoke plastered into my hair, even after washing my hair twice in the shower...I sure did stank! *Laughs*

So, what's new? =)



Ive been wayy busy catching up with snooze and tv shows than blog...My bad! =( Thank Gawd for technology! I managed to record heaps of shows on the telly that I wanna watch but dont have the time to...Brother's buy of the DVD recorder seriously came in handy...! So, I spent an entire night catching 7 episodes of this local drama, which I havent done in eons, cos I dont really enjoy watching local productions cos they're pretty un-polished in terms of production; But this particular show has gotten me hooked, partially because Mummy dearest has been watching wayy to much telly so I pretty much get updates on on-goings of that lil' black box...




Ive finally met up with Pearlyn AKA, Bubbles dearie and finally passed her her belated bday pressie! And I found out that she reads my blog! *sMiLes* I hope Bubbles liked her pressie! Im sorry that it wasn't purple though... =P Im really glad and happy to have met up with Pearlyn, cos the last time i saw her was at a Christmas party at her place, which seemed like eons ago! :)




And I found out from people that the once Someone special would be getting married soon...(*Insert longgg story here...Close friends would know what Im talking about... *winKz*) Good luck to his new bride...As for me, it initially came as a total shock, cos he was the last person on the face of this earth that would settle down with just one girl and be a good/responsible blah blah blah husband, cos he wasn't and isn't hubby material...But if a girl managed to charm his knockers off, good for her...I wish her all the best! (*Sly smile*)




As for moi, Im just so glad, relieved and happy that that bride isn't gonna be me... *Phew*



I miss my Sony Ericsson K800i! :( Im a sad girlie cos Ive sent it for servicing...Its been going bonkers on me, hanging up on friends' calls...Going blank on me, blah blah blah...And I reckon before the stream of bday sms-es and calls come in, I'd better send it in...And so, Im stuck with my old Sony Ericsson phone which seems to be really weird, it doesn't really send out SMS-es...So, if any friends are reading this, do try not to SMS before Friday, yeah? I seriously miss my k800i! Boohoohoo...! *Laughs*




And I caught drop-dead gorgeous Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom at the theatres today! Weeee...! *sMiLes* My Gawd..! Has it been a year odd already? =) But I still reckon that Part Two was a better movie though, more enjoyable, tighter plot, more exciting scenes...So which pirate did Elizabeth Swann, AKA Keira Knightly choose? Go watch..! I aint telling! =P




Im a happy girlie! AC Milan won the Champions League by 2 goals to 1 measly, messy goal of Liverpool! *Laughs* ("Milannnnn Milllaannnn...!") Ok, although AC Milan was the team that knocked my darling Red Devils out of the Champions' League, I give AC Milan credit for over-coming the odds on them this year...Brillant brillant team...Brillant match! They totally deserved to win! Im now a supporter of AC Milan (Well, partially because of the so-uber cute players in the team) in the Italia Serie A! BUT, I'd still support my Red Devils should they meet again! =)



Talking about football/soccer, Manchester United played a boring match against Chelsea over the weekend at the new Wembley stadium... FA Cup still doesn't compensate the fact that the best team won the EPL trophy this season...! =) Can't wait for the new season to start already...! And I have to wait until August...! Agonising! =|




Well, there's always shopping and what-nots to occupy the weekends then! *Laughs*




And Im still un-decided on how to celebrate my Forever Young birthday that's in 9 days' time! I am still toying if I ought to take it mad and wild by getting meself un-glamourously drunk and all at "Our Playground" (I havent been there in eons! *Laughs*), or to take it slow by having a BBQ at East Coast Beach near my place... ...

Apparently, MoS (Ministry of Sound) remembers my birthday...

At a "very very lucky" price/offer...Lucky cos the digits sounds as though I'm gonna strike it rich sometime soon in some dialect...




Since Im a member of "Our Playground", I have 20 shooters of the month, a bottle of champagne (probably a cheap bottle...It can't be Moet, right? *Laughs*), waiver of cover charge for Moi and 4 other guests, priority entry for all my guests for the night, 20% discount on housepours and draughts at their neighbouring bar, (though during normal hours only... :( Why not at their bars itself?!? A bottle is not that cheap at "Our Playground" ya know!) and I get a lil' gift...! All for FREE...

BOILING S-T-R-E-S-S...! =(

While mugging for the upcoming and very very soon exams, I decided to take a breather and to blog a lil', mainly because I am a lil' bored and highly stressed up over the mountain-ful of notes, study guides and what-nots to cover! =(



And I cannot wait for the exams to be over! Because it'd be my birthday just 3 days after my final paper! And a public holiday looming really close to my birthday makes that weekend all the better for me! Yayy!


And I just discovered and foiled a highly secretive Forever Young birthday bash that a special someone was trying to plan...It's not that person's fault that I found out...! My 6th sense told me something's going on...! *Laughs*


Hearing the on-going preparations have made me regret asking and finding out about the special surprise that was intended for my birthday this year! Cos I did mention that I might wanna have a bash/celebrations of sorts at somewhere, maybe even at "Our Playground" cos I get special privileges and freebies if I celebrated un-soberly (aka, un-glamorously) there...! *Laughs* (Yeah, Ive gotten the privilege card in the mailer a couple of days back! The irony being that I hardly club nowadays! *Laughs* )



And people have been asking what I would like to receive as a gift for my birthday this year...To be honest, I have no idea at this point of time...! Well, besides getting a lifetime supply of shoes/pointy heels/wedges/bags/accessories/clothes/everything else in between for free! *Laughs* (Although Ive heard that its inauspicious to receive shoes as gifts for any occasion...Oh well...) I guess I really just yearn for health and to be forever happy! =)



Which is not what I am experiencing at this very moment in time for I am really cranking my brain cells out with my cramming and mugging! O_o

Quality over Quantity...

Paul and Angela's wedding over the long weekend (due to the Labour Day holiday) was awesome! The video/ photo slideshow of their pasts, and how they met was real hilarious...! And the irony, Angela being Mrs Wong! She now shares my surname! :P


I do hope they'd enjoy their honeymoon in Greece...! Exotic location! =)



I havent been clubbing much, mainly due to me wanting to be a good girl so Ive pretty much been spending time catching up and doing mundane stuff with the family and that Ive been spending time "dating" my books and a mystery man in particular... (Not telling! =X )



Admist all of these, I did realise, after having a long conversation, which made me feel real down and sad about loads of stuff (Maybe its that time of the month..! Mine's irregular BTW...Imagine..! ), where I started thinking of my social circle and how significantly few real close friends I do actually have...I mean, I'd rather go for quality than quantity, but its pretty saddening to have friends whom u adore n love to bits totally forgetting about you/casting you away when you're no longer needed by them...Its an irony simply because I always try to be there for my friends, so much so that I feel that most of my "so-called" friends take my niceness and the goodness in me for granted; Some of them expect/assume me to be there for them 24/7 and when I dont, it literally tears me when they say that I wasn't there for them when they needed me.



Oh well, so what is the balancing point then? When should I still remain nice and caring towards friends that matter and fair-weathered friends that'd do a "David Copperfield", aka, disappearing act when bad weather does fall upon us? :(


Or is it just me? Have I been too nice to all of my friends, geninue friendships, or otherwise (aka, the superficial ones) so much so that I am often taken for granted and far too often, taken for a joyride of sorts?


I have been thinking quite abit about who are my true blue friends, those that have been there for me, thick and thin, seen through my ups and downs - my joys, sorrows, tears and anguish...Those that have offered me piles of tissue, advices, pats and hugs to those that squirm and run away at the very instant when I say something's troubling me...


A few names that have always/constantly been there instantly pop up in my mind - you guys know who you are...And I guess that I am truly blessed to have them around me; to catch me when I fall, to give their most honest opinions when it matters, and to always have a ready hug whenever I falter...


Mummy and closest friends have told me that the inherent problem or plus point about me, depending on which side of the fence you're on, is that despite all the social hard-knocks that life has taught me, I am still pretty gullible and naive and the fact that I dont really know how to judge people and their intentions so much so that when someone says that they need help, I would naturally try my best and go out of the way to help them, without expecting anything in return...If they need someone to talk to, I would try by calling or sms-ing them, or just clown around and act all silly and goofy to make them smile... In fact, I still do have random people still calling/sms-ing me at wee hours in the morning, sober or otherwise, ranting about their problems and how they just need a listening ear...


Cos I've always believed in what Mummy have always said and taught me - Always be nice to people, for what goes around would come around...If you're nice to people, people would appreciate your niceness and treat you the way you've treated them...But now Mummy always adds a disclaimer where she askes me not to be nice to everyone and anyone...That I ought to be selectively nice only to certain people, and to people whom really matter...
