The 1st weekend of March...

It's amazing how 2 months of 2008 has whizzed by us so quickly! And since it being a leap year, we had an extra day of the first 2 months! But time has amazingly flown us by...

It's really amazing how it seems like yesterday when I was counting down to the new 2008!

After a week of hard work at the workplace, meeting deadlines and what-nots, and with attending lectures in the evenings, it was finally FRIDAY!! =D

The colleagues and I made plans to go to Timbre for a chill-out session with a couple of the former and current interns from the local tertiary institutions... Unfortunately, the waitress whom answered my colleague's call for reservations promised a table on Thursday, and said would give us a call on Friday to confirm our reservations, but NEVER DID..!! In the end, we had to call Timbre and it was almost a slap in the face when they said they were closed for a private event! So much for promises!! (>.<)

My lil' PiNKy Smiley with my Boots hand cream on my desk! The things I snap when I get bored and decided to randomly take pictures! My aim of Happy-ness is to be smiley all day like PinkY Smiley! =)

We all had initially targeted to end work by 730pm, but in the end, we only left at about 8pm!!

The best way to usher in the weekend is by... ...

Having a toast of German Lager with colleagues! :)
Undeterred by the lousy incident of Timbre, we decided to head over to Vivo City's Brotzeit for some real authentic lager all the way from Germany!
Red nail is obviously Moi's!

My first 1/2 pint of the night!

A Paulaner Weissbier! The way it goes down the throat is simply heavenly after a long week of work! =)

"Da Shu", a former intern at my workplace with 2 pints (1 litre each, i kid you not!!) of Paulaner Weissbier! He is one real hilarious guy whom, hailing from China, made all of us roll over and cried from laughing when he asked us what is the meaning of "C.B" (Go figure! It's in the Hokkien dialect -- ie, a female body part down South...) cos he claims he's heard so many people saying it out loud, but he doesn't have a clue of what it means!

His "Happy Tree Friends" tee shirt from Bangkok is so adorable!!
=)

A close-up shot of the litre!
It doesn't look that huge in this picture, but it sure does in real life!

"Da Shu" and Max flexing their muscles with their pints of beers!

We waited for almost eons before our food arrived, which explained the cam-whoring!

I can't really blame them cos Brotzeit is always packed to the brim during dinner hours, especially during the weekends, with EPL being showned on their plasmas!

I had the main course of dory fish (Petersfisch ~ Grilled alantic dory filet with wild mushroom sauce, garlic butter & potato wedges) since I am such a fish lover!

I usually am pretty picky about my sashimis and fish, especially dory fish, cos if it wasn't fresh, it'd end up horrible! But it was surprisingly deliciously fresh and it didn't have that fishy taste, and the fish melted in my mouth! It was so yummy that I totally forgot to take a picture! :(

Pity about the supposedly wild mushrooms though! They were mostly mushrooms that could be commonly found in the supermarkets here! The sauce didn't have that strong stench of garlic, which was nice, cos the taste of the fish was preserved!

So yummy! A must try in my books! :)

And after all that, I had my second 1/2 pint of Paulaner Weissbier Dunkel, which was the dark wheat beer, which wasn't as tasty or full-bodied as the Paulaner Weissbier! =(

We then decided that there was still room for deserts!

The "Sachertorte" (quite a mouthful! :P ), which simply put in English, was simply known as a traditional chocolate cake! *LauGhs*
So Sinful...!!! I kid you not...!!! But it was terribly delicious!!! :P

We headed over to Boat Quay for some more drinks over karaoke! And it was wee hours when I ended the night/morning!

=)

Throughout the night, all I could think of is you... Sorry to have made you worry about me! :-|

Can't wait for the next weekend!

(Thank you for putting smiles on my face throughout my weekend! =) )
