The week in re-cap...

I know I know...I havent blogged in a week..My apologies! Ive since realized that a couple of my anoymous friends do visit my blog, and my apologies! I had a blast with the first week of new year that it left me lil' time to log online! :P


Well, i have been busy, but my brother has been hogging the computer as well, playing the "Cashflow" game online, so I didnt even get a chance to check my emails! *Laughs* That's one of the reasons I kinda wished I had a laptop, or another computer...


Sunday

I spent my NYE counting down with my darling girlfriends at "Our Playground"...Prior to that, my gf, Jules, had to buy a new pair of dancing shoes to party with, so after a very late dinner, (Because I was late as I was curling my hair and all - new look to usher in 2007!) we went hunting for shoes...I loved a pair that was on display, but they ran out of it in black...Oh well, there's always another outlet sorta thing...


We had also met up with a couple of guys that we had known from "Our Playground" and we had free lychee martinis after much haggling...(Well, he did promised us drinks over the phone!) When the countdown started, and when it was officially 2007, I had a sudden thought - I was, in a way, glad that 2006 was finally over, and yet at the same time, looking back, pZ would have never been the girl she is now had she still been attached to that Someone. ( http://pinkypz.blogspot.com/2006/12/new-beginning.html ) It was as though a huge chapter/chunk of my almost a quarter of a century life had officially found some form of closure. But that thought only lasted for like a minute before Jules, Jody and I started dancing... *Laughs*



Bye 2006! It had been a bittersweet year and I really hope 2007 would be a much better year for me and everyone around me! :)


I liked my new look on NYE, btw, and Ive got quite a few people complimenting on how more feiminine I looked with curls...Now I'm highly tempted to get curls at the local salon...Maybe when my hair grows out a wee bit longer...



Monday


I spent the first day of 2007 catching the movie "Curse of the Golden Flower", staring Gong Li (and her HUGE bossoms!), Chow Yun Fatt and Jay Chou. It was an elaborate movie, with real nice props and costumes, which didnt truly reflect the Tang dynasty, but to watch Jay Chou cringe like a baby was really laugh-able! =P


It was supper after that and since it was pretty late, I went off to the sleaziest part of Singapore, the "red light district" in Geylang for some "tau huey" and dough fritters only because my brother and his friends were too far away from town, and they didnt wanna join me. The biggest irony was that I was wearing a red top! *Laughs* And I did get a wolf-whistle from a really sleazy-looking uncle!



Wednesday


I had DarLing JuLes having sushi with me after classes in Holland Village, where I bought a nice-looking skirt and Jules bought 2 really cute tops! :) She bought me a butterfly dangle/chain to hang on my cellphone! *SmileS!* And I went to pick up my 10-cm killer heels that I had reserved from yesterday at their outlet near my place...I love Heels! Yummy! =P


DarLing Jules intended to sleep over at my place on Wednesday night, after an outing to "Our Playground", where some stuff cropped up, which scared me a wee bit...And made a couple of people pissed off with me. What's in the past is in the past...We'd know our limits now! =) I do hope that Jules didnt find my room to be to messy and that she had fun sleeping over! :)



Thursday


I received an invitation to a wedding dinner via the snail mail on Thurday! Kenny (Its her real name!) and Ferdinand's wedding! And it was to be held next Saturday! =) OMGawd! What to wear?! *Laughs* Im so happy for them, cos they've been dating, and most of the time, long distance, since after graduating from secondary school...and its sorta like the first wedding dinner of my friends' that i'd be attending...I reckon that I'd probably have another 2 or 3 more weddings to attend in 2007...I feel OLD already... *Laughs*




Friday was pretty fun, because I had expected to stay home and give the "Playground" outing a miss because all my friends had their own plans when DarLing Jules said online via MSN that her project deadline got an extension! So I immediately showered, changed and all and headed down to "Our Playground"! And what was even better was that this awefully cute and very single guy friend of mine, (If anyone's interested, do gimme a message! :) ) had no plans and we decided to meetup and dance the night away! It was an okay night cos the dj was trying to get sleazy with me while I was waylaid on my way to the ladies! (He has been trying to hit on me since December, and this was the first time he tried making a move!) All I can was "YucK!" and thankfully I saw my cute guy friend on my way out of the loo and i told him that i needed a security guard...And he gladly obliged! And the dj saw him holding my hand and escorting me and Jules back into the main hall! He's such a sweetie! :) My hero! *Laughs*



Its funny how guys with monster cars think that they're so HOT (NOT!) and I always would get sleazy and indecent stuff like "Hey, need a ride to my place?" sorta pick up lines...No thank you, we have our own mode of transport, and Im sure my bed at home's much more comfy than yours! *Laughs*



The funniest thing that happened was that my very cute friend got so drunk after we moved onto another place to dance, since we obviously hadn't danced enough was that he hadn't got a clue that he held onto my hand and kept hugging when he was highly intoxicated! His friends left me alone with him by the drinks counter and he was highly intoxicated that had I not held onto him, he'd probably collasped face down onto the solid cemented floor...And that he was dancing with random girls thereafter! *Laughs*



Saturday


I went shoe shopping with Jody over the weekend and I loved those heels she bought! I was highly tempted to get a bag, but decided not to! I bought 2 tops from a post Christmas and New Year sale! One was fushcia PINK (my fave!) with the word "Italia" in felt printed over, and other had the word "Japan" and the map of Japan on it...Its all from Kappa and I like them a whole lot!:)



I caught Borat with Jody since it was still early and we had nothing to do...After getting tickets, I bumped into Joshua, my very cute junior college friend whom the girls and I used to cal "Buttler" (Butler) cos he has a nice butt and hairy legs! *Laughs* And true enough, he's now technically a buttler, flying the skies as an air steward with Singapore Airlines! And Im so jealous that he's got a K800i (my phone!) in a nice shade of brown! *Jealous!*


We had time to kill before the movie so we went to Coffee Club for drinks and desserts and man, their "Triple Chocolate" was horrid! Im still contemplaing on whether to send an email over to complain cos we requested for a change, which they did, but it was even more horrid! We were pretty miffed that we didnt tip! *Laughs*


Borat was truly a really hilarious and awesome movie! Do catch it if you haven't! I wont tell u how the story goes, but if you liked Cohen as Ali G, and you like parodies that are all over youtube, it is a must watch! =)



Sunday



Rounding the long week off, I chilled at home and had dinner with my brother at this coffeeshop near our place and I rushed back to catch a French movie on Arts Central! Wicked wicked movie! And its now close to 5am, and Ive classes later at 9am! =O



What a week! I hope I'd enjoy my upcoming week! But first, some zzz before the sun rises!
